Electrostatic Boundary Conditions and (Electro)chemical Interface Stability

چکیده
Interface stability is a key factor for stable operation of electronic and electrochemical devices. This contribution introduces an approach the operando analysis interfaces using photoelectron spectroscopy employing solid oxide cell. The combined chemical information provided by experiment reveals that not only but also electrostatic boundary conditions are essential interface stability. demonstrated (anti-)ferroelectric (Pb,La)(Zr,Sn,Ti)O3 dielectrics.

Stability Analysis of Numerical Interface Boundary Conditions for Parabolic Equations
This paper analyses the numerical stability of coupling procedures in modelling the thermal diiusion in a solid and uid with continuity of temperature and heat ux at the interface. A simple one-dimensional model is employed with uniform material properties and grid density in each domain. A number of diierent explicit and implicit algorithms are considered for both the interior equations and th...
متن کاملAbsorbing Boundary Conditions, Difference Operators, and Stability
In this paper we present a review of some of the methods currently used for solving the absorbing boundary problem for the two-dimensional scalar wave equation. We show the relationship between the methods of Lindman and Clayton and Engquist. Through this relationship we can derive discretizations of any rational approximation to the one-way wave equation. We prove that, for all the cases consi...
متن کاملBoundary conditions at a fluid-solid interface.
We study the boundary conditions at a fluid-solid interface using molecular dynamics simulations covering a broad range of fluid-solid interactions and fluid densities and both simple and chain-molecule fluids. The slip length is shown to be independent of the type of flow, but rather is related to the fluid organization near the solid, as governed by the fluid-solid molecular interactions.
متن کاملGeneral considerations of the electrostatic boundary conditions in oxide heterostructures
When the size of materials is comparable to the characteristic length scale of their physical properties, novel functionalities can emerge. For semiconductors, this is exemplified by the “superlattice” concept of Esaki and Tsu, where the width of the repeated stacking of different semiconductors is comparable to the “size” of the electrons, resulting in novel confined states now routinely used ...
متن کاملStability theorems for chiral bag boundary conditions
We study asymptotic expansions of the smeared L2-traces Fe−tP 2 and FPe−tP 2 , where P is an operator of Dirac type and F is an auxiliary smooth endomorphism. We impose chiral bag boundary conditions depending on an angle θ. Studying the θ-dependence of the above trace invariants, θindependent pieces are identified. The associated stability theorems allow one to show the regularity of the eta f...
